Sundin has no comeback regrets

Sundin has no comeback regrets
VANCOUVER — Mats Sundin says he has no regrets over his decision to play for the Vancouver Canucks this NHL season, but hasn’t decided yet if he will return next year.

If he does play again, money won’t be the deciding factor.

“It won’t be a money issue, whether or not I’m going to play,” Sundin, 38, said Wednesday as the Canucks cleaned out their lockers. “You want to have a chance to win.

“I am going to take my Continue reading ‘Sundin has no comeback regrets’

TORONTO — As Mats Sundin prepares to make his first ever appearance at Air Canada Centre with a visiting team, it’s worth remembering that he never wanted to make such a return in the first place.

Rangers, Canucks top Sundin chase
Sundin has indicated he hopes to a short list of teams he is interested in joining ready by as early as Dec. 15, though possibly as late as Dec. 26.

The Rangers are thought to be his first choice, but they have very little cap space. They would have to make a move to open room to sign Sundin. The Canucks made Sundin a very generous two-year, $20 million offer last summer to join them.

Sundin agent sets decision deadline
Mats Sundin is making his list and checking it twice before making a decision that his agent expects to come by December 15.
