Leafs claim centre Lundmark off waivers

TORONTO — The Maple Leafs have added another ex-Calgary Flame to their roster.

Toronto claimed forward Jamie Lundmark off waivers from the Flames on Saturday.

Lundmark played in 21 games with Calgary this season, registering four goals and five assists. He also had 21 points in 32 games with the Abbotsford Heat in the AHL.

The Vancouver Canucks have placed disgruntled defenceman Mathieu Schneider on waivers.

Canucks GM Mike Gills had tried to trade the 40-year-old defenceman but it appears as though he found no takers.

Former Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Michael Leighton has been claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Flyers.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets claimed centre Chris Gratton off waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Blues goaltender Manny Legace cleared waivers on Saturday and will be sent to the team’s minor-league affiliate in Peoria.

The Blues had placed the 36-year-old on waivers on Friday.

Sanford became expendable when Vancouver traded for Jason Labarbera, who will now become Roberto Luongo’s backup.
